A day in the life with a two year old...

Shortly before my husband got home this evening, I asked myself, "Can this day get any worse?" And sure enough, it did. My little troublemaker decided it would be extra funny to stick some peas and corn up her nose. Thankfully she managed to succeed just as he walked in the door and she quickly realized once it was up there that it wasn't so funny after all. He had to pin her down in order for me to suction it out. Was she ever happy when it was out and us too. (I thought she had learned from her playdoh incident last week that caused her nose to drip bright orange for the rest of the day and a trip to the doctor).

This topped off the afternoon I had earlier with her. 15 minutes into her quiet time I decided to check in and see what she was up to...it was too quiet, and sure enough, she thought it would be a good idea to take off her diaper and pee in her book basket and on a couple of books, as well as empty the contents of her sippy cup out and bath her dolls in milk. Did that ever get my blood boiling! No more toys or books allowed in her room for awhile! On the bright side, we had a lovely morning walk and a quick visit with one of my best friends' mom. Matt and I had a chuckle after and both realized these will be stories we will laugh at in years to come. Hopefully the terrible 2's will lead into understanding 3's for us, and with hope, our 5 month old daughter will skip this trying stage altogether.
