Wedding Bliss

Love Birds

This past weekend I was a guest at one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever been to. The bride and groom are close friends of my husband and his family. The ceremony was outdoors, tucked away in a beautiful Love Garden. The weather was kind to them during the ceremony and the overcast lighting was perfect for their photographer. They are the sweetest most deserving couple of a happily ever after. Congratulations to M and J!!!

Being the photographer that I am I couldn't resist bringing one of my cameras sporting my 50mm 1.8 and 80mm 1.8 prime lenses only to take a few photos but unfortunately could not get a good view of the bride and groom and did not want to get in the way of their photographer or draw attention to myself. I decided to put my camera away before the reception and had an amazing time!! It has been a long time since we had the opportunity to party without the kids. Everyone, including me were out on the dance floor having a blast after dinner. That says a lot about the atmosphere and friendly group they had there since I usually need a few drinks to cut loose and I was the DD. Here are some shots of the setting and me and my handsome love of my life!! The wedding took place at Royal Ashburn Golf course. It is a beautiful setting. It will be 10 years ago this month that I was there for one of my best friends wedding as her brides maid and they are still happily married today!

Wedding Flowers

Their flowers were gorgeous. As you may already know from past entries, I have a thing for flowers of all kinds. I would love to give credit to whoever made these beautiful arrangements!

My handsome man. My love. My life. I love you!!

Yup, that's me striking a pose. I found this cute little dress the morning of the wedding and fell in love with it. I can't wait to find an excuse to wear it again. Perhaps next week for our 4 year anniversary!!

There were moments during the speeches that I caught myself choked up with tears and I had this strange vision of my own daughter up there one day and the tear wave came on even stronger.

Thank you so much for including us in your day :). To me weddings are a chance to celebrate love and appreciate the love that I have around me while witnessing new love unite as one. Love is one of the best gifts that life has to offer. Hold onto it tight and don't let go!!

Thanks! I really wanted to try out my new camera and lens but decided in the end I would worry too much that something would happen to it.
