We are ready to bring on the holidays at the Black house. The halls have been decked, the tree trimmed and the Christmas movies have come out!! I think I can watch Elf and never get sick of it :). Abby's favorite thus far is The Polar Express. She calls it "The Boy that Doesn't Sleep" when she asks to watch it. I always save my favorite movie till the week before Christmas...some of my family members are sure to be rolling their eyes when I mention "It's a Wonderful Life". I still haven't managed to get my own husband to sit through it with me after 7 years together...maybe this year? He ruins it every time I have tried by trying to impersonate Jimmy Stewart.
Have I said how much I love this time of year!!

My little helping hands rearrange the ornaments daily with much excitement. Abby and I will be starting some annual Christmas baking soon, but not too soon or it will end up in my tummy, I mean our tummies ;). We have a new tradition of putting together a gingerbread house since Abby's second Christmas. It is one that I really enjoy myself and look forward to as much as she does.

Last year was particularly special for us as we were blessed with a brand new, beautiful baby girl to add to our family and help make our holidays more special. I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. It has been one full of life and joy and new beginnings for me and my family. Below is a mini session I managed to do with Madison yesterday afternoon. I still have yet to get both girls together, but think I will wait for some assistance from daddy and hopefully squeeze in there for a couple of photos with all of us.

A special thanks goes to Grandma Judie for making this Santa Sac for me. It is adorable and so soft. I can't wait to try it out on a newborn for the holidays.

Madison really enjoyed her first taste of Candy Cane...a little form of bribery to help keep her still for the photos. She wasn't too angry when I took it away.
