Happy Father's Day ~ Durham Region Family Photographer

"Walk a little slower Daddy" said a child so small,
"I'm following in your footsteps and I don't want to fall.
Sometimes your steps are very fast,
Sometimes they're hard to see;
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For you are leading me.
Someday when I'm all grown up,
You're what I want to be;
Then I will have a little child
Who'll want to follow me.
And I would want to lead just right,
And know that I was true,
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For I must follow you."

     Happy Father's Day to all the father's out there and all the soon to be father's. Your role in your child or children's lives is no small one. They learn great things from you that you don't even realize. The quietude of just being with you is a comfort while you do your stuff, from hammering a nail to mowing the lawn or lighting a BBQ and watching a hockey game. I love hockey but do not know much about the game. I would sit with my dad while he was engrossed in a game and now as an adult the sounds are soothing. Don't ask me the score or what teams are playing though. Dad, thank you for everything you mean to me and all you have taught me. You passed on your love of nature and gardening to me and most certainly any talent I have I give you lots of credit for helping nurture it for me and believing in me. Lots of love to you today!

     We have a yummy breakfast planned for the love of my life. Some french toast with strawberries and coffee then on to lunch with my dad and dinner with my dad-in-law. The girls are so excited for today! Well, one is while the other is still zzzzz away in dreamland. She loves to sleep in :). I don't blame her, learning all the new things each day is exhausting and 4 new teeth have appeared this week! Lots of work for such a wee little girl.
